Corporate Sales Manager
Diane's journey with Starwood Hotels & Resorts started in January 1997 at The Westin O'Hare as a Social Catering Sales Manager. Her desire to learn more about the operations of the hotel inspired her to move into the position of Banquet Captain in 1999. As Diane's life grew and started her family, she was offered the opportunity to move to the Four Points Sheraton Oak Brook in 2001, as the Social and Corporate Catering Manager, which allowed her to balance her work and home life. In 2004, she was again offered another great opportunity back at The Westin O'Hare as the Westin One-Call Sales Manager. This helped expand Diane's hotel knowledge again by becoming involved with understand guestrooms and group contracts. In 2008, as her desire for further knowledge thrived, she took on the position of the Westin One-Call Sales Manager at The Westin Lombard Yorktown Center, which was the opportunity to add working in a position of a new build hotel and a pre-sales office. After fulfilling that position and becoming successful, she then moved into the position she currently has as the Corporate Group Sales Manager. After 13 successful years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Diane looks forward to her continued Journey.
Bridget Lynch Cullinan
Corporate Sales Manager
Bridget was born in Arizona and raised in northwest Illinois. After graduating from Northern Illinois University with a degree in political science and business administration, she began her career with a municipal economic development group in Rockford, eventually moving to the Canadian Consulate General Chicago as an export commercial officer. Her journey began with Starwood as a member of the pre-opening team for the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center in August of 2007, and continue to evolve and grow into her position as catering sales manager serving the corporate market. Bridget's passion for landscape design inspired her to earn an additional degree in horticulture and use this creative avenue to contribute to local elementary education programs. She enjoys traveling and through both work and pleasure her travels have taken me throughout U.S., to the Caribbean, Europe and the northwest territories of Canada.
Association/Government Sales Manager
With an extensive convention services and sales background, Pam is able to provide you with expert advice and assistance when planning your conference here at the Westin Lombard. Focusing on state, regional and national level groups since 2002, her knowledge allows you to breathe easy and relax in the hands of a tested professional. Originally from Wisconsin, Pam has a passion for travel and an appreciation of quality personal service. Her favorite city is New Orleans, which she tries to visit at least once a year. Pam enjoys spending time with her family and creating culinary treats together and fishing in northern Wisconsin.
Julie brings with her over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industries. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Iowa State University, she began her hospitality career with Marriott International in 1986 where she represented three Minneapolis area Courtyard by Marriott properties out of the Chicago Regional Office as a Sales Manager. From there she was promoted as the Lead Account Manager in 1989 for the Lead Referral Department out of their Corporate Regional office in Rosemont. In 1994, she left the corporation to raise her newborn son. In 1997, Julie joined the DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau, promoting DuPage County, as a part-time telemarketer in their sales department. The position gave her life balance – allowing her family time with her son. Throughout the years, she desired more responsibility and challenge. She became a full time sales manager in 2004 working with the Military Reunion, Tour and Travel and Faith-Based Markets. After much success in these markets and her dedication to the Bureau, she was promoted to Senior Sales Manager in 2010. In 2013, Julie desired to go back on the property level again and was offered the opportunity to join the Starwood team at the Westin Lombard as a Sales Manager working within the Religious, Fraternal, Sports, Reunion Education and Tour/Travel Markets. She is looking forward to a long exciting future with Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Julie enjoys spending time with her family, dog and cantoring at church.
Director of Catering
Tammy graduated from Illinois College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Business Management. She has worked and consulted within the hospitality industry for 23 years and began her journey with Starwood in 2008 . She has lived in the Chicago area all of her life and currently resides in a suburb of Chicago with her family. Tammy's passions outside of the workplace are hockey, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Sara Marach serves as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center. She oversaw all presale efforts for special events, the catering and sales teams, and oversees all marketing and advertising efforts for the property in order to position the hotel as the newest and most renewing hotel in the western suburban market. Sara has over 17 years of experience in the hotel industry. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in hotel and restaurant management from Michigan State University, she joined Starwood 1996 where she was the director of sales for the Midland Hotel (currently the W Hotel City Center) in Chicago, IL. From there she became the Director of Group Sales and then promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing for the Sheraton in Arlington Heights, IL; she then transferred to the Sheraton in Elk Grove Village, IL where she served as the director of Sales & Marketing. The Westin Lombard Yorktown Center marks Sara's fourth Starwood affiliation.
Sara Blankestyn has been with the Starwood family for about 6 years, as a Catering Sales Manager. She began her journey with hospitality when she graduated with her Bachelor's in Hospitality Management and minored in Culinary Arts at Kendall College. After finishing school, Sara had the opportunity to be an Advanced Internship -then Assistant Manager, with Disney at their Hilton Head Island Resort. At Disney is where she learned the "magic" that goes into creating a memorable experiences and exceeding expectations. Sara's journey has brought her to the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center as the Social Catering Sales Manager, where she continues to surprise and delight all those who wish to celebrate their journey with the Westin. Sara recently purchased her first home and is looking forward to being active in her new community with theater and volunteering.
Jennifer graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She started her hotel career at Hotel Arista as a Front Office Supervisor, then moved to the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg and has now found a new home at the Westin Lombard. Weddings are her passion and have been her whole life! In her time outside of work Jennifer loves to shop and meet up with friends and family. She doesn’t consider her job at Westin a job because she comes into work every day doing what she loves to do!
Sales Manager, Business Travel
Dianne’s hotel journey began when she attended The University of Stout-WI and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. After graduating Dianne set her eyes on Southern California where she worked for the Le Meridien, Newport Beach as a Front Desk Manager. With her passion to be in sales, she took a job at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana, CA as Sales Manager. After living in California for 4 years, she decided to come back home to family and friends in the Chicago area. After arriving back Dianne landed a job working for the Days Inn Hotel-Lakeshore as a Business Travel Sales Manager, which is now a Starwood property -W Lake Shore Drive. To further her expand her talents she went to work at a European hotel called the Talbot in the Gold Coast area of Chicago. After taking time off her raise her two children, she returned to the hotel scene in 2015, never losing her passion for her hotel family. After joining the Starwood Family in 2016 at the Westin Lombard Yorktown as Business Travel Sales Manager, she looks forward to a very successful and long career with Starwood. When Dianne is not working she enjoys her free time with her husband, two children and her extended family.
Sales Manager, Catering
With a great understanding of the hospitality industry from both heart and front of house experiences, Henry began his career in 1998 with his first stop being the kitchen of Courtright’s Restaurant. The owners, seeing true potential, took him under their wings to nurture his skills and show just how imperative it is to give the very best in hospitality to every guest. The spark was ignited so he completed his Associates Degree in Food Service Administration from College of DuPage, and then onto other opportunities in his adventure including Food and Beverage Director at Five Seasons Country Club of Burr Ridge, Director of Catering at Holiday Inn Willowbrook, Sales Manager – Catering for Holiday Inn Elk Grove and then showing his creative talents as the Catering Sales Manager for the Brookfield Zoo’s wedding and social market. He is excited to begin his Starwood Hotels and Resorts journey here at the Westin Lombard in his new role as our Corporate Catering Sales Manager. Not to forget Henry has other passions as well, including having fun with his family, his intrigue for all things Disney and sharing his love of chocolate.
Meeting & Event Manager
Kristy has been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. She has worked at multiple locations throughout the Walt Disney World Company, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis NCAA Building, RCA Tennis Tournament and many different hotel chains. Kristy was on the opening team of the Walt Disney World Wide World of Sports, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s All Star Sports Resort and has worked in almost every position in the hotel industry before ending up finding my passion as a Meeting & Event Manager.
